Core Practice Area:
The core practice area of an NCBDC certified building designer, is unlimited, one, two and three family home design. No restriction by square footage, number of stories, or mechanical devices such as elevators or stair lifts. In addition, all farm and agricultural buildings, as well as certain light commercial buildings.
The definition of this practice area shall be determined by each respective state's legal statutes through specific exemption, licensing, registration or other means. Please consult your state board of architecture to determine the legal qualifications in your area.
