The AIBD staff (your A-Team) is
continuing to work remotely. That may mean a delay in certain services. For example, our mail is being forwarded and it’s only received once per week.
We’re encouraging all communications, payments, and file transfers to be done electronically, as much as possible.
The good news is, according to the Centers for Disease Control and the Surgeon General, there is no evidence to suggest COVID-19 is being spread through the mail.
Working remotely will be our MO for a while, possibly a long while.
Kate Lister, president of Global Workplace Analytics predicts, “Our best estimate is that 25-30% of the workforce will be working-from-home multiple days a week by the end of 2021.”
If people want to say only lazy people work at home (in their pajamas*), I would tell them to think again.
Paychex, AIBD’s trusted payroll source, reports 94% of their employee positions are able to be performed remotely. In fact, since the start of the pandemic, AIBD staff has avoided any human interaction to process and distribute its payroll.
*Full disclosure, I (Garrett) sometimes work in my pajamas.
