Let’s celebrate!
AIBD turns 70 years young on July 11th! More candles mean a bigger wish, so we’re throwing a party all weekend!

The celebration kicks off July 10 at 10 am (EDT) on Coffee With Bernie. Then, a four-day membership drive runs through midnight on July 13.

Some only dream of cake. Others “bake it happen”.

Existing members can earn a free renewal by recruiting.

New (and rejoining) members get 12 months for only $70.

Last chance to enter ARDA!
The American Residential Design Awards are AIBD’s premier residential design recognition program.

Sponsored by PortfolioHomePlans.com and Phantom Screens, ARDA is open to ALL residential designers, builders, remodelers, architects, developers, land planners, and interior designers in the nation.

Members receive a 35% discount on entry fees. Contact us to get the Promo Code.
The judges begin arriving on Wednesday, the June 23rd deadline cannot be extended any farther. Get your entries in before it’s too late!
AIBD moves forward with Summer Conference planning.
“Protect Our Neighbors,” the next phase in Colorado’s reopening plan, is expected to take effect soon.

That means, the AIBD Summer Conference, and ALL of its typical events may move ahead. The event is scheduled for August 13-15. Here’s the proposed schedule.

AIBD agrees with Gov. Jared Polis, “These kinds of activities need a way that they can function without jeopardizing the lives of those who attend.” Therefore, there will be limited seating and other safety policies.

We are also working with the Antlers Hotel to provide a “hybrid” event, giving those who are unable or reluctant to travel, the opportunity to attend virtually.

Chapters relaunch with virtual meetings.
Using AIBD’s new virtual conference platform, Hopin, the AIBD, Central Florida Chapter, led by Joe Sirilla, has released a three-month schedule of virtual meetings.

Tomorrow, designers in Knoxville are meeting virtually to investigate charting a chapter in their town. Meet Jacquilla Gillette, NCBDC Council Member, and others.

A webcam and mic are required to network, but all you need is speakers to attend and listen in. Use a computer or your mobile device.

Check out the Events section of this newsletter and at AIBD.org/events.

The National Council of Building Designer Certification is a designated body within the organization, charged with governing the Institute’s professional certification examination program.
Applications to join the Council are always accepted and those who will serve for a one-year term are chosen at the Council’s Annual Meeting, August 13, 2020. To be considered, all applications must be a CPBD and submit their application on or before June 30.
