Central Florida Chapter

Welcome to the American Institute of Building Design, Central Florida Chapter.

The AIBD Central Florida Chapter meets frequently and provides building design professionals with networking opportunities, business development symposiums, design workshops, product information seminars, historical architectural tours, and educational roundtables concerning the most recent developments in the industry. Our members are from diverse fields of the building design industry, including design professionals, home builders, and material suppliers. Our chapter covers Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Brevard, Polk, Lake, and Sumter Counties. We have ‘get-togethers’ twice a month, official meetings twice a year, and offer our services to our community in any way we can. We hold AIBD members to the highest standards within our profession. We look forward to having you join us at any event and as part of our mission of setting a higher standard together.

Mission

To enhance, develop, educate, and promote the value of the residential design professional by providing opportunities to increase their level of skill and knowledge in their field of practice through professional-to-professional affiliation, continuing education, and mentoring, supporting our members to grow as professional designers and business owners.

Vision

The American Institute of Building Design (AIBD), a nonprofit professional organization established in 1950, strives to protect and enhance our member’s ability to practice their building design profession. The Central Florida Chapter and the National AIBD are committed to providing quality continuing education to ensure our members remain current with technology, materials, building processes, and Building Codes. We are committed to establishing and maintaining professional relationships with trade partners and governmental and professional organizations within the design and construction industry to gain further development, recognition, & enhancement of the profession of building design.

At all times, AIBD and the Central Florida Chapter will hold themselves to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism as specified by our Institute’s bylaws and code of ethics. They will uphold the protection of the health, welfare, and safety of the general public. This commitment is to the public, the industry we serve, and the profession we represent.
