The GreenHome Institute’s – “Overview of GreenStar Homes Certification for renovations & new builds”

May 3, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

About this event

The GreenStar Homes Certification program is a resource to help you and your clients achieve and communicate sustainability goals for continuous home improvement, renovations, and new construction projects across single-family, townhomes, multifamily, and mixed-use buildings.

The program is used by remodelers, custom home builders, developers and affordable housing agencies and is codified in some incentive programs as well.

During this course, we will guide you through our open source free online workbook and manual that you may use to make more informed decisions and certify in the GreenStar Homes program if you wish. We will review the GreenStar Homes Process, costs, and how to work with and become a GreenHome Inspector.

This is not necessarily a technical course, and so before taking this or after, you may wish to go through our Basics of Residential Green Building which goes into the technical details of the GreenStar Homes requirements.
