Learn how builders are earning the new Inflation Reduction Act 45L Tax Credit (new in 2023) with real examples from Ekotrope’s database of over 1 Million homes. This course will describe the changes to the 45L Tax Credit, and the Tax Credit’s requirements, and show how Ekotrope supports their users to find new ways to earn this Tax Credit – notably how Scenario Modeling can be used to quickly develop and test new compliance pathways.

We will also discuss using scenario modeling to achieve code and/or beat code to get to Net Zero energy and/or green building certification such as LEED for Homes.

Speaker – David Pedrick

David is a Product Manager at Ekotrope, a green-tech software company that’s on a mission to create awesome products that provide actionable energy and environmental data to all residential construction industry stakeholders. He leads Ekotrope’s work developing new products for their users. David was a QAD and HERS rater for 3 years at Southface Energy Institute before joining Ekotrope in 2020. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Luther College and a Master’s of City and Regional Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
