For me, hand sketching started by accident.

 

For years I had been drafting by hand.

On a drawing board, with a parallel bar and triangles.

Then CAD came along, and I gave away my drafting table.

It took forgetting about a client meeting for me to see the power of freehand sketching.

That was 20 years ago, and I’m still learning how to explore ideas without digital tools.

Single-Family Starts Increase Modestly in February

Single-family housing starts in February were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 830,000, a 1.1% increase from the revised January figure. 

“The modest increase in single-family housing starts month over month is more in line with what we are hearing. 

A stronger than expected start to the year for the housing market is encouraging builders to start more homes to better match demand,” says Zonda chief economist Ali Wolf.
