The family of International Building Codes is amended every three years.
The AIBD Codes and Standards Committee monitors the code development process and testifies at the code hearings when appropriate. In addition, the committee will submit code amendment proposals on behalf of its membership.
But it’s impossible to catch everything. We need your help.
If you have found an issue in an existing code, if something is being misinterpreted, or if a situation is not being covered in the code at all, please share below.
Typically, the committee chair will contact you to discuss the issue and your ideas within two to three weeks.
