AIBD NC-SC Chapters celebrate 20th Annual Design & Trade Show

On March 6th the AIBD North Carolina and South Carolina Chapters gathered together for their 20th Annual Design Conference and Trade Show.

Continuing the tradition that started in 2000, the event was held at the Ocean Drive Beach & Golf Resort in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Kicking off on a Friday afternoon, the event started off with registration sponsored by longtime friend and industry partner of the AIBD, Harry Boody from Energy Innovations.

Fridays’ agenda included education seminars “Cost Effective Strategies for Designing & Building Zero Net Energy Homes” by Ryan Miller of North Carolina Building Performance Association and” How Much Should You Charge for Your Services?” By AIBD and College of Fellow, Jim Wright, CPBD, FAIBD of Residential Designed Solutions.

The event was highlighted with an announcement that $2,000.00 was a planned contribution to the AIBD College of Fellows Scholarship Program, a well appreciated tradition for this event.

Saturday started off with two more great topics, “Why Flippers Fail” by Delinda Harrelson of Home Solutions Group Inc. and “Strategies and Methods for Design Firms to Attract New Leads”  by Jeanne Eury of Eight Arms Group and Melanie Diehl of Melanie and Co.

The event was topped off with a Saturday evening trade show.
