Please understand these programs well to understand DOE Zero Energy Ready better. Armando Cobo, owner of Armando Cobo, Designer, is an award winning zero energy home designer from Albuquerque, New Mexico and Fort Worth, Texas with over 37 years, 500 custom home designs and over 200 built homes under his belt, and the last 22+ years, with green building and zero energy home experience. We have designed must all traditional and contemporary residential design styles, allowing us to develop a great knowledge of the field techniques as well as the aesthetic perception of design.
As a zero-energy custom home designer and building consultant, Armando can provide excellent recommendations on contractors, building practices and materials under the guidelines of the Zero Energy Ready Home, The Building America Program, Build Green New Mexico, National Home Builders Association’s Green Building Program, and LEED for Homes Program. Along detailed drawings and specifications will allow you for a better understanding of the home building process, better value for your money and make the building of your custom home go as smooth as possible.

EXPERIENCE:
Armando Cobo, Designer has designed and built houses with traditional wall systems, Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF’s), Prefabricated Wall Panels (PWP’s), Structural Insulated Panels (SIP’s). Also, designed and built many homes with basements (Full, Cellar, View-outs, Walkouts and Pits), sealed and conditioned crawl spaces and pilings.
All homes include Resilient and Universal Design principles.
Nationally Approved trainer for DOE’s Zero Energy Ready Program.
Builder and Sub-contractor online training included with all designs. On-site training available.
