The evolution of the Narnia Kitchen and why your clients will love it.

Get ready to ignite your kitchen design game!

Join Steve as he unveils the latest trend that’s revolutionizing modern kitchens – the rise of the second kitchen, or as some call it, the ‘Prep Kitchen’.

This concept has been brewing in the luxury home market for a while and is now spilling over into mainstream homes.

This video will briefly examine this year’s American Residential Design Awards entries, showcasing how designers ingeniously incorporate these supplementary kitchen workspaces.

Compass Club Report

Join us for the 2023 Compass Club Annual Party in Nashville, Tennesse, for an evening of honkytonking and networking.

We’ve been informed that the private party space at Winners will be under construction in August.

We’re bummed.

Thanks to the people at Cold Beer Entertainment, we have arranged the next best thing.

At 7:00 pm CT, the party will begin on the front patio at Losers Bar & Grill Midtown, only a few dozen feet from Winners.

Don’t let the change in adjectives deter you.

Network with all the movers and shakers in AIBD while enjoying your favorite beverage, some fine local BBQ, and live music.

Among several other local honkytonks, winners and Losers are found on Division Street. It will be a night to remember.

RSVP at AIBD.org/compassclubevent.

Get more information about the Compass Club at AIBD.org/compassclub.

Where are the Jobs that are Driving the U.S. Unemployment Rate So Low?

So far, minimally deterred by the Federal Reserve’s interest rate hikes, the unemployment rate in the U.S. has stayed near rock bottom. Seasonally adjusted (SA), it’s been less than 4.0% for 15 months in a row, indicative of a labor market that’s about as tight as it has ever been.

The construction industry, which has listed a shortage of qualified workers as perhaps its biggest problem, especially with experienced tradespeople retiring in droves, will be hard-pressed to fill gaps in the young adult workforce pool.

It’s not really fresh news, but creative recruitment thinking must become a priority.
